com.smarttools.aioToolzy ("the app", "we", "us") is an all-in-one utility app — document scanning, PDF tools, QR & barcode, a storage cleaner, converters and more. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. In plain terms: Toolzy does most of its work entirely on your device, has no user accounts, and does not sell your data.
| Permission / data | Why | Leaves your device? |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Scan documents and QR / barcodes | No — processed on-device |
| Photos & media (images) | Storage cleaner (find duplicate / large images), image tools, background remover, passport photo | No — read locally; deletion uses Android's own confirmation dialog |
| Notifications | Optional tips and storage-cleanup reminders, plus service messages (see §6) | No — content is generated on-device or delivered via Firebase |
| Advertising ID | To show and measure ads, and limit repeat/irrelevant ads (see §5) | Yes — shared with Google AdMob and its ad partners |
| Internet / network state | Ads, live rates, notifications and the online features in §3 | See §3 & §5 |
Toolzy does not request contacts, location (GPS), microphone, call logs, or SMS.
The app fetches public exchange-rate and cryptocurrency-price data from third-party rate providers. These requests contain no personal information — just a request for current rates. Rates are cached on your device so the feature also works offline.
To show your local currency and units by default, the app first uses your SIM country and device language, which never leave the device. Only if those are unavailable does it make a single request to a third-party IP-geolocation service to determine your country only. Your IP address is visible to that service during this request; the app stores only the resulting country code. You can override the region anytime in Settings.
Document scanning, text recognition (OCR), barcode scanning and background removal use Google ML Kit, which processes images on your device. The small ML models may be downloaded from Google Play the first time a feature is used.
Toolzy is supported by advertising, provided through Google AdMob. Ads may appear as banners, native units within lists, and occasional full-screen ads shown at natural break points. To serve, cap and measure these ads, AdMob and its partners process your device's advertising identifier along with standard technical data (such as device type, coarse location derived from IP, and ad interactions).
To improve fill rate, AdMob may use mediation partners (for example Meta Audience Network); when a partner serves an ad, that partner processes the same kind of ad data under its own policy.
Your choices: If you are in the EU, UK or Switzerland, Toolzy shows a Google-certified consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) the first time you open the app, where you can accept or refuse personalised ads. Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your device's Google settings (Settings → Google → Ads). Ad behaviour is governed by Google's advertising policies and Google's Privacy Policy.
To keep the app stable and improve it, Toolzy uses Google Firebase:

Toolzy is a general-purpose utility app and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because your files and results live on your device, you are in control: delete them from within the app or your file manager, clear the app's data in Android Settings, or uninstall the app to remove everything it stored. Cached rate data is removed when you clear the app's cache.
Depending on which features you use, Toolzy may interact with:
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The "Effective date" at the top will change, and significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
